A novice team of divers from Southampton Diving Academy recently travelled to The Spectrum Centre in Guildford to compete in the ASA Surrey Skills competition.
The SDA girls in the 14/15 Years were most successful, returning to Southampton with the gold and bronze medals in this event. Abbie Wilson won gold with a fantastic inward dive tuck on 1metre and Chloe Davis the Bronze demonstrating an impressive 1 metre back dive tuck.
Thomas MacFadyen, for the boys and Lucie Hill for the girls, both won silver medals in the 12/13 year old events. Both youngsters displayed a consistent set of dives including notable back dive tucks.
A number of this novice team were competing away from The Quays for the first time and all saw their hard work and commitment to training allow them to compete with confidence.
