National Skills 2016

What a weekend it’s been for the SDA divers up in Southend.
Not to be outdone by our Day 1 team, the divers on Day 2 have excelled themselves too.
With two more golds and a bronze, another 6 top ten finishes and a load of PBs it’s been a great day.
Thank you to Dan Stevens, Nicola Brettell-Smith and Jode Lakeman-Brown for being our volunteer support squad today, getting the divers to the pool on time, fed and watered; some great team photo’s going on fb this morning before the competition.
Well done again and thank you to the coaching staff who spend hours in that sweltering environment remaining positive and encouraging our divers to some amazing performances. Today I believe it was Lauren, Mollie, Georgie and Jamie? Apologies if I’ve got you all in a muddle I know you’ve all been there at some point this weekend doing brilliantly at what you do!
Okay, onto the important bit…the results:

All in all a brilliant weekend for the SDA. Thank you to the parents who gave up their time to Team Manage Chaperone and Drive buses, and also to everyone who went to support. Fancy chaperoning? Let me know and we’ll get you trained up!
If anyone feels up to writing a little press release then please let me know asap. We need to get these divers in the paper and share their success!
Next stop for the SDA is Sheffield on Wednesday for the National Age Group Finals. 21 divers, 4 days, 3 coaches…
