Southampton Diving sensation Max Brick and partner Tom Daley have added another medal to their collection, clinching a Silver in the 10m synchronised event at the Fina Grand Prix event in Fort Lauderdale. The young GB divers' partnership is in its infancy, but they are already showing signs of being a world class pairing. After scoring well in their first four dives the duo were leading the competition, however the fifth round saw them overhauled by experienced American duo David Boudia and Thomas Finchum, a lead they never surrendered. However Brick and Daley finished comfortably ahead of Canadian pair Reuben Ross and Riley McCormick with a score of 423.48. Brick, who is a member of Southampton Diving Academy, was pleased with the score, which was a 20-point improvement on the pairs' debut performance at the Fina World Series in Sheffield: "I'm really pleased with our performance and Tom and I are really enjoying diving together. This was our best performances to date and I'm excited about the way things are progressing." Brick's Coach Lindsey Fraser, was delighted with the outcome: "Max is swiftly becoming one of the diving world's hottest prospects. Tom has rightly received a lot of publicity in recent times, however these two as a pairing can go on to achieve great things in the sport if they continue to perform like this." |
