Southampton Diving Academy will be taking the opportunity to welcome its Olympic heroes home at a party to be held on Monday 1st September from 6.30pm. The club sent 3 divers and one coach to the Games, but Stacie Powell, who competed in both the individual and synchronised events on the 10m board will already have jetted off to the USA, where she will be spending a year at Harvard completing her Physics degree. Peter Waterfield (individual 10m), Blake Aldridge (synchronised 10m) and Lindsey Fraser, their coach, will all be attending. "We are looking forward to welcoming them all back," said Chair of SDA, Annie Clewlow. "We want to have the opportunity to have an occasion where we can pat them on the back and hear all about their experiences." |
