FOSDA Christmas Party Postponed

We regret to announce that due to the weather and treacherous roads, we have had to postpone the FOSDA Xmas party and AGM tonight. It will be rescheduled in the new year.
 

Berlin divers push Southampton hard

06/12/10 For the last three years Southampton elite divers have competed against leading divers from the Berlin Diving Club. The venue is alternated, one time in Berlin, the next in Southampton. This year it was the turn of the young Germans to visit Southampton Diving Academy for a few days of training and competition at The Quays.

Top Talent at TID Games

27/11/10 Southampton's young diving talent, who train with Active Nation at the Quays, took on competitors from across the nation, and came away in third place in the first ever "TID Games", held in Leeds on Sunday 14th November, with Madeleine Angell and Cameron Delve taking silver and bronze positions respectively in the pool.

Southampton diving dominates in Dublin

18/11/10 With a series of clean sweeps, young Southampton divers took Dublin by storm at the Irish National Championships last week. A large team of 19 divers took control, winning across the boards. The team took home a haul of 21 medals against divers from Ireland, the UK and even Italy – a near 50% success rate.

Southampton Invitational: Farrow Strikes Gold

11/11/10 Top divers from all over the country competed in the annual three-day Southampton Invitational Competition on 23rd-25th October. A series of great individual performances ensured that Southampton Diving Academy won the team trophy in the face of tough competition.

Photo Sessions

17/10/10 An opportunity for your child to attend a 30 min session with our resident photographer, overseen by one of our instructors will be offered on Friday 29th October at 9:30 or 10am. Afterwards you will receive a CD with a minimum of 8 photographs of your child. Sessions are suitable for any level of diver aged 6 - 13 years. The fee is £14. Stunt Training

17/10/10 Southampton Diving Programme offer between 1-2 sessions a week exclusively for people training for the stunt register. The number of sessions depends on the demand. Training sessions are an hour long and are run by a team of coaches including International diving coach Charly Tomkys and national diving coach Chris Gravestock.

Talent Identification Scheme

08/07/10 Southampton Diving are looking for children aged 6 – 11 years who show an aptitude for competitive diving. Children will be assessed by undertaking a series of simple exercises, led by one of our qualified coaches. We are looking for children who are up for a challenge, well co-ordinated and flexible. Peter Waterfield wins British Cup

09/02/10 Southampton divers took an impressive medal haul at the British Diving Cup in Sheffield last weekend held from 5th - 7th February. Taking golds in all three of his events, Peter Waterfield led the team with an impressive return to top level competition in his favourite discipline where he took the title in the individual platform event over 40 points ahead of the World Champion.
