Talent Identification Programme
Updated 17/07/09 Southampton Diving Programme is on the look out for children aged 6 to 11 years who show an aptitude for becoming competitive divers. We are inviting those who would like to be assessed to come to the Quays for a preliminary try-out during the school holidays. Your child does not necessarily need to be able to swim at this stage.

Junior National Elite
Updated 26/06/09 A team of 16 divers from Southampton Diving Academy took to the boards in Sheffield to take part in the Junior Elite Nationals the last week of May. They returned in triumph to the Quays Swimming and Diving Complex with an impressive 25 medals between them.

National Skills Finals
Updated 9/06/09 Southampton divers gained amazing results in a two-day Nationals Skills final in Leeds. Twenty-two divers from The Quay's swimming and diving complex competed at the John Charles Centre for Sports showing great results on springboard and proved they are still one of the top diving clubs in the Country.

Silver for Max Brick
Updated 3/2/09 Max Brick was unable to compete in the synchronised 10 metre event at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival with Chris Mears as planned, owing to Chris's sudden illness, and paired up instead with James Milton from Sheffield to take SILVER - the first medal a diver from Southampton has ever won at this event. Fantastic Max and well done!

Channel 4 Documentary
Updated 3/02/09 Channel 4 are running a documentary on Sunday mornings "Destination 2012". As part of this Lindsey Fraser, Senior Diving Coach for Southampton Diving Academy will be teaching sprinter Iwan Thomas how to dive over the next three months. The first session was shown on Sunday and can be viewed in Channel 4 Catchup www.channel4.com/video/brandless-catchup.jsp?vodBrand=destination-2012. The diving section is 40 minutes into the clip. Further lessons will be shown each Sunday morning.
