FINA is happy to announce that two new live sessions will be taking place this week on the subject of Diving.
On Thursday 4th June 2020 at 10am (CET), Eric Brooker will present a Basic Judging Workshop on Diving.
Eric started diving at a young age and dived at National and International level as a junior diver. After many years coaching national and international divers, he moved onto judging. He was a judge at numerous World Championships and officiated at the London 2012 Olympic Games. In 2013 he was appointed to the FINA Technical Diving Committee (TDC). As part of the FINA TDC he has been a delegate at Diving Grand Prix, World Championships, as well at the Olympic Games. He is now also a board member of Diving Australia and a life member of Diving New South Wales (AUS).
On Friday 5th June 2020 at 10am (CET), don’t miss Simon Latimer‘s presentation on the Psychology of Diving and the effect of COVID-19 on judges and officials.
Simon was a New Zealand representative diver between 1995-2002. He became a FINA certified judge in 2007, and officiated at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games as a judge. He was the youngest judge appointed on both occasions. In 2017, Simon was appointed to the FINA Technical Diving Committee (TDC). Simon also has a special interest in the psychology of judging diving.
